ULTRA RARE MINIATURE Royal Doulton Kingsware Flask Night Watchman Modelled Head
Approx 4 1/8 inches tall. Approx 2 inches wide.
This Royal Doulton Kingsware Miniature Night Watchman Jug is in excellent used vintage condition. There are no chips, cracks, breaks, or repairs.
Kingsware was developed by Charles Noke and produced between 1898 and 1939. No other factory in the world has been able to recreate the same lustrous finish, which makes Kingsware a unique and highly desirable collectable. The rich, brown effects of the Kingsware glaze were achieved by painting the design in the colored slip on the inside of the plaster of Paris mold, then the dark terra-cotta slip was added to form the body. The transparent glaze was then fired over the finished piece, giving depth to the colors beneath. This rare MINIATURE Kingsware Night Watchman Whisky Jug is a fine example.
